Dear Scout and Parents:
We are so glad that you and your child have decided to join us on the adventure of Webelos Scouting. Our goal is to provide the scouts with a fun-filled program while meeting the requirements to earn a Webelos Badge and Arrow of Light Badge.
Den Meeting Information:
We will meet in a Junior School classroom approximately three times per month from 3:30 to 4:30pm on Fridays. Scouts will need to report to Sundowners after school. We will go to the Sundowners room to gather the scouts at 3:30 pm. If you are unable to pick up your scout at 4:30 pm he will join the Sundowner’s group in the building. Please help your scout remember to wear their uniform and bring their Webelos Book with a pencil to each meeting.
Field Trips:
Field Trips will be arranged to fulfill various badge requirements. These trips may occur on weekdays, Saturdays or Sundays. If your scout plans to participate on a field trip we would encourage you to attend as well. This will help with transportation.
Meeting/Field Trip Schedule:
We will send home a schedule of the meeting dates with each scout as well as post the schedule and any other information on Ms. Engler’s bluegold Website http://bluegold.dcds.edu/ and our Pack 1016 website. You will receive instructions on how to access the Bluegold Websites from the Junior School at the Meet Your Teacher Night. You will use these same instructions; however, you will need to click on the link for Middle School Teachers to locate Ms. Engler’s site. If you have questions, just ask for assistance from Ms. Engler. Lengler@dcds.edu
Volunteering:
We would like each scout’s parents to volunteer to lead a den meeting or organize an outing to work towards a badge requirement. Please review the various badge requirements in your son’s book and let us know which you would like to lead.Schedule For January - February 2006:
